Scar cream question

I had a scar cream prescribed and had it filled by a pharmacy that compounded the cream. Question Is that they billed my insurance $11000 and my ins paid 9000 of it!! Anyone else have that same cost?? My copayment was $17.00 so I'm wondering if it's a typo or is my pharmacy trying to scam the insurance company?????

There has GOT to be a decimal point missing somewhere in there! $11,000 is WAY too much for a tube of cream. $110.00 is bad enough .... but $11,000??

The best scar cream is caster oil. It does not smell and it penetrates the scar and makes it softer....that is what I use!
