not losing very fast

I am just depressed. On the day of surgery I was 299. That was my goal I set for my surgery day. I started at 325 and I wanted to be at 300 on surgery day. I succeeded!! Which made me feel pretty good. I lost 17 more pounds on my post op liquid diet. Ever since I was put on soft food my weight loss has really slowed. I stalled for two weeks at week 3. When it broke I lost 13 pounds in 3 days. I then went back to losing one pound a day for 4 days then I suddenly dropped 4 pounds in one day. Now I am back to losing 1 pound every 2 days. I follow my diet and I work out 6 days a week. I am losing inches like it's nobodies business. I have dropped from a 26 to an 18/20 in 3 weeks. Can someone tell me why I'm not losing pounds. Will the pounds eventually catch up to the inches? I am really worried that I am not going lose anymore weight. I am 272 now I want lose 10 more pounds by Sept 10.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have chucked the scale on Day 1. Weighing every day is bad for your soul. I did better when my husband hid the scale and brought it out once per week. Sta

I thought you said you were losing a pound every other day now? That's 15 lbs/month which is a pretty spectacular rate of weight loss to my mind, no matter what kind of surgery anyone had. Am I misund

As every one has pointed out...you are loosing weight at a really impressive rate! That's fabulous!

Keep this in mind; you've got to have realistic expectations for yourself when the weight loss slows down. Without realistic expectations you will be at risk of loosing your motivation and falling off track. Obsessing over the scale, comparing yourself to others, and being hard on yourself is not the way you want to start this new Life. Take it easy...love yourself...relax and settle in for the long haul. This is a Journey. Focus on changing your lifestyle, not the numbers on a scale, and you will not fail.

You are going to be a great success at this! Just believe in yourself and settle in for the next year of incredible changes.

I can only assume by your OP that you're not a math person.
