Just got approved for the sleeve

Hey everyone..

I just got the approval for surgery.. I'm scheduled October 1... I have my list to check off... Luckily I just had an endoscopy and cardiac work up in May.. So those I don't need to do..

Have first nutritionist appoint Monday..

My history...

I'm 42 single mom of 2.. With 4 knee surgeries in past .. 2 herniated back discs.. Hyperglycemia .. High cholesterol .. So I am looking forward to getting of meds and having an active life with my kids... Without knee pain..

I am nervous..: but so excited.. I am doing my research as to preparing for after.. Have knowledge..

Can anyone who had this done way in as to what you ate or drank after surgery..: being a single mom I want to prepare ahead and get things as I go shopping when money allows it...

Congrats to all of you making a life altering change :))

Hi Lauren, I've been slowly getting the premier protein drink from Walmart, think SAMs carries it also. It's pricy but I figured for the first couple weeks after surgery it will help with protein seeing it has 30 grams in it. Also getting slimfast for the 2 week before surgery. Tere are others I've tasted and these r best for me.

congrats Lauren and good luck. For me after surgery I had my protein shakes on hand, sugar free jello, pudding, Popsicles. Soup and yogurt. Also I dealt with bad knee pain and since my surgery 6/18 and losing 27 lbs what a difference. And boy it feels good.
