I apologize

I am doing this publicly because I feel like I deserve a little public humiliation at this point. I am apologizing to everyone that I sent an overly negative reputation message to. I can't excuse what I did, but I can explain why. I had recieved a message that I felt was particularly nasty. I was hurt and angry and I decided to "share the love", so to speak. In the clear light of day, after I've had time to cool down, I realize that what I did was in very poor judgement. So, feel free to berate me, scold me, bash me, whatever you feel is necessary. I sincerely apologize. I let my hurt and anger get the best of me. I may not agree with all of you, but I really do respect you as people.

What is rep power anyway???????

I don't know a lot about it. It was a feature that was apparently short lived. If you did or did not like someones post you could rate it. Agree or Disagree. Then the more positives they got the higher the rep power number. It's gone now, as it should be.

No it isn't.

Free speech has to do with dealing with the gov't. When on a privately owned message board or piece of property, you do not have any rights to free speech.

It would be like my coming over to your house and using your house for my free speech that everyone must eat 10lbs of sugar and carbs daily. Do I have that right?

You have a one track mind. Read her post and you will see that the same right she has to vent,so does someone else have that same right. It has nothing to do with this site.

The Constitution that says you have free speech, that you are claming is the same right we have to "rant" it is also free speech!
What? :)
You have been nothing short of wonderful and have responded to my questions with sincerity and knowledge. So what if you went off a little-"sticks and stones---------" Put it behind you and go on with the good.

Fran

I agree with Fran that you have responded several times to my questions when others didnt. I appreciated that. We all have opinions, what would it be like if we were all the same...... BORING!!

Someone needs to repeat 10th grade Gov't class. There are no rights here.

You miss the point. she has as much right as someone else to rant on a THREAD THAT IS ALL ABOUT RANTING. It has nothing to do with your 10 grade class!

It says a lot about you Laurend that you would go public and apologize like that. A bold person and humbled as well.

The rep. option is something I think should be removed anyway. I'm glad it was decided to remove it. I Admin. another Vbulletin website and the rep. comments are a pain in the butt. People actually track their number like counting signatures in their high school yearbook. It's tough enough to moderate threads that are serious and then someone goes and reports a negative rep. "I didn't deserve this". Be proud that you are mature enough and strong enough in yourself that you did this on your end. ( I would pos. rep you for it if I could)
