I made it through! I couldn't have gotten this far with my journey without the help if this forum. Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories, questions, etc.

In addition to the sleeve, I had a hiatal hernia repair plus they found a hole in my diaphragm that they needed to repair.

The gas pain from ribs to shoulders is certainly the most uncomfortable. I have walked 4 laps already, and will do more later. I emptied my bladder without a problem, and have a morphine pump that I can press every half hour. It definitely takes the edge off.

I am not able to drink anything until my leak test in the morning, so my mouth is super dry. I just keep swishing & spitting.

I am so glad to finally be over this hurdle.

A new life has started for me today.

To all of you waiting for your day...it will be here in the blink of an eye. Follow your pre-op diet and start walking as much as you can. It will make you stronger for recovery!

Yay, congrats! Mine is tomorrow around 10:30'ish in the morning (nurse told me that there are 2 ahead of me); I'm just ready to be on the other side.

Hope your recovery is swift!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
