Lovenox anyone?

Is there anyone else who had to give themselves the Lovenox injections? I did my first one today (surgery was yesterday) and it wasn't too bad. Anyone have any advice about it?

I had to give myself shots after my hip replacement surgery. You get used to it. The needles are small and you usually don't even feel it. It's just a little weird to hold the needle to your skin knowing you're gonna stab yourself. Once you do it and depress the plunger, it's done and that's it...no big deal. I had to do that for about ten days I think.

Yeah It was strange the first couple of times, I don't like the bruises it leaves behind. They don't hurt but are kind of ugly. I have a whole week left.

I didn't have to give them to myself. I got one shot of it in the hospital prior to surgery. The only thing I remember about it was that it burned for a bit but I am sensitive to medications.
