New Insurance

My husband is staring a new job and will not have insurance until November. The insurance covers WLS I am not sure if they have a waiting period or not, but my surgeon does requires you to go through a 6 month program. My question is, should I start the 6 month program now or wait until the insurance starts....Thanks in advance!
