Making plans for surgery

What steps have you been through so far?

Hi I'm new too. So far I've had two months of weights (4 more to go) and I have done my blood work up. Doing the sono on liver and gall bladder tomorrow and then I have the support group next week and another on august 20th. What about you guys?

Doing research. Seeing what my insurance requires. Have my Dr appt next month for referral.

I was just approved...my insurance doesn't require the six month supervised diet...they require a BMI of 40 or higher or a BMI of 35 with a comorbidity. I had lab work, chest x-ray, EKG, Seminar, Nutrition Meeting, Psych Evaluation, surgeon visit, and a referral letter from my PCP. You can go to your insurance website or call them and have them send you the requirements for you to get approved, good luck!

Yes. I will be doing that tomorrow! Unfortunately one downfall is that I have to pay 2000.00 dollars up front. But I keep telling myself it will all be worth it!
