Stomach feels yucky

I am almost 4 weeks out from the sleeve and a hernia repair. My stomach just doesn't feel normal. I mean I know my stomach isn't normal... When I drink it still hurts. My stomach kind of feels like it did when I had an ulcer a year ago. Is this normal? Anyone else feeling this way?

Its different strokes for different folks, I'm afraid, when it comes to healing and pain levels...

Have you been given a PPI? It sounds a bit like you might have some excess acid churning around. Do you have any symptoms which correlate with that?

From a personal perspective, it took a good couple of months before drinking Water was entirely comfortable. I kept feeling like I had a vortex inside me every time I took a sip - which wasn't the most pleasant sensation to come to terms with. It did ease off though.

Could you give us some more info as to the type of pain you're in? Obviously, if it is definitely uncomfortable, to the point of concern, you should always contact your surgeon...

Wishing you a speedy recovery :)
