Just got aproval!

I am new to this but would love any advice I can get... I just got my approval today and will be having surgery mid august. I have read as much as I could but would love some first hand advice about what to expect, and also suggestions for before and after surgery. Any advice will be greatly appreciated ????

Gastric Sleeve surgery shrinks a patient's stomach and help them to lose weight therefore it is absolutely necessary to be ready for this change.Try changing your diet as it is better to prepare your body on living on less food.Try incorporating protein-rich liquid meals for before and after your surgery. Also try and prepare your support group which will help you face your surgery with a positive frame of mind.

I would suggest that you keep checking this site as often as you can...this helped me a great deal! Mostly because you will find many people at many stages of the journey, and all will have good advice as they share their journey with everyone else. For starters, one bit of advice I can give is please don't continually compare your progress to everyone else's...I know it's easier said than done, but please try to avoid this. We are all all individuals who progress differently, and weight loss is not at all a competition, but a healthy journey that 'YOU' will do great in!!!

So I just got my surgery date!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. My mind is all over the place now not sure where to start to prep myself for right before surgery and also after. What vitamins, food prep, what to take to the hospital and anything else I might not think about. I could really use some suggestions or any advice. Thanks for the support
