surgery scheduled for july 3rd

Hi all I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening I went for my preop and they told me I might not have surgery due to the fact that while they put me on the surgery diet 2 weeks ago I lost 11lbs now my bmi is a 38 and a half instead of the 40?

My doctor's office said they go with the initial weight you came into the office with and don't consider what you lose on pre-op. I was borderline at BMI of 36 and needed 35 or above for the surgery.

So, you should be fine.
