Oye this is nerve racking. I was thinking it would take a few days to get BCBS's decision, but my surgeon's team told me it could take 4-6 weeks. SAY IT AIN'T SO!! Patience is a virtue?

I was hoping I would be well on my way before school started in the fall. : (

We have the same surgeon! I have BCBS State and they told me the same 4-6 weeks.. and i hate to say, it took 5 full weeks.

I had lap-band surgery May 8th, 2014.

from all the bcbs federal threads I have read, hey have stated just a couple of days to around 2 weeks but the average seems to be about 5 days. good luck

My insurance specialist told me two weeks. I should know something by the end of next week. So I am right there with you.

I called BCBS Friday afternoon and they told me that I am approved. So it took 5 days for me.
