HELP! Liquid diet w/ diabetes

OK So my surgery is Tue. 17th and its time for me to start my liquid diet. But I have diabetes and I take meds. So how do I keep my blood sugar from dropping without eating! They nurse told me to watch my blood sugar and if it drops to low to lower my Metformin but she didn't say anything about my Glyburide! I pretty much have to eat every 2 hours to keep my Glyburide from dropping my blood sugar to low and I only take half now. I put a call in to ask the NUT. but haven't received a call back!

I have high sugar as well.. You can make garlic soup just drink the soup though no noodles. And make it with the garlic teeth.

Perhaps you have to stop the meds as you do this? Monitoring must be very strict though. I didn't have to do a preop diet so it didn't affect me but you need to watch your numbers like crazy while you are on this journey. I would make sure you get in touch with your endo to discuss how to do this too they are the sugar experts. They have people on call 24/7. If you don't have one then call the dr that put you on this liquid diet for help. They should be available 24/7 as well. No waiting for a call til Monday if you are on the diet now!

Call your surgeons office or you pcp and see what they say.
