I'm not too far away in NJ. Does your hospital have a support group? It's a great way to connect with people using your surgeon and in your area. My doc has one once a month and I went 2 months before my surgery and actually ran into an old friend who is having the surgery about 3 weeks after mine. I had no idea she was considering surgery.

Talk to a local surgeon and see if they have support groups. Or, call a nutritionist and see if they offer any support groups.
