Pain and Energy

I have two questions: how long does incisional discomfort last (the larger incision used to remove 3/4 of stomach)? And when does your energy return? I'm 3wks post opt and about 25lbs down. I stopped taking the pain meds a few days post surgery with no problem but all of a sudden the area is always 'present'...not painful but quite uncomfortable. I'm also really tired. ..feeling drained! I know it takes time to bounce back. ..just looking for my light. Thanks for the feedback!

You sound an awful lot like me when I 1st had surgery I dropped 30lbs in 26 days and had virtually no energy. Eat your Protein and be sure to exercise(you will be surprised to see how much this aides in healing and energy)

The pain will subside in about a week or two, please be sure to get your protein in...take your time and nap when your energy is low. I am 13wks out now and though I feel tired during the day at times, I find it hard to nap. Things will balance out as the days and times go on

BEST WISHES TO YOU
