Looking for folks to connect with from the northern suburbs, etc. I'm in Champlin but if we have enough folks maybe a rotation of locations to accommodate the variety of locations would be the way to go. I love a little coffee shop (can't drink it but love the aroma). Any thoughts?

I belong to a yoga studio on Maple Grove and a Pure Barre studio in Edina. Gyms are not my thing.

Hi all.

I am Pam and I live in St. Paul and work at the U. I am 3-6 months from my surgery. I had my first appointment last Friday at Fairview Southdale. I am hoping for late October or early November for my surgery. I am still trying to decide sleeve or RNY, but I have some time yet on that. I am fortunate not to have an insurance requirement for time, just whatever my clinic has.

Do you have any get togethers coming up? I would love to meet and talk to others who have had/are having surgery.

@dhutch I had my surgery at Southdale in November. I have had an amazing experience. Not that you shouldn't check other places, but...

We have support group tonight if you would like to come ask questions. We have a great group who tell it like it is. no sugar coating, no crap, but they are super supportive. The meeting starts at 6:30. I'll be there and would love to meet you. I'll be the loud one with short dark hair dressed in all black-ish. That'll make sense if you come to the meeting tonight.

The Southdale group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. I also go to the one at Fairview Riverside for the U of M. They have accepted me freely eventhough I am from Southdale! They meet the first WEdnesday of the month. I'd love to see you at either or both.
