I would like to see if anyone is interested in starting a local chapter in my area. I live in Henderson Nevada, on the south-east side of Las Vegas.

@@blessed 0329 That's great you have your consult coming up. For me my surgery was scheduled about a month out from my consult. My friends wife just had her consult and is scheduled for January. I'm guessing maybe the holidays there is either a lot more patients or they take time off for the holidays.

I was insurance and so is she, HPN. Approval was fast, the longest was the three month diet. They are pretty good with the timeline. My insurance sent the approval right away.

yeah I believe that it was sent right after the consultation, I was told that if anything happens I would know before the surgery date. No problem with the questions, that's what this is all for. :-)

Thanks.. did u have a drain and also per operation diet.. how long does surgery last and how long did u stay at hospital

I had the sleeve and didn't require a drain. I was told that i t would be best to lose 10 lbs before surgery so I did go one a diet two weeks before. Not a liquid diet just a no bad food thing. I don't remember how long the operation was but it was over fairly fast. I just stayed overnight and I went home around noon the next day. No complications. I walked around several times that night and the next day. The pressure from the gas wasn't bad for me but I could hear the woman that had it the same day, crying and being very loud from the pain. I don't think she got up and walked around. I had taken a week off of work but I should have taken two. I was very tired for about two weeks.

@@blessed 0329 I started in September ... had to do 3 classes at sw medical .. my 1 on 1 is the 25th but my psych eval is tomorrow ... pre op Nov 30th ... when did u start?

July 22nd had my first class at swm.. October I had eval and per operation testing done.. know waiting on the 8th for consultation with surgeon

Does anyone know if there is a jump start program to do to get you back on eating right again? Like all shakes again, or?
