Protein popsicle recipes?

Recommended Posts

I now have in my possession a couple of popsicle molds. I am still on clears for another 5 days but I'll be on liquids 10 more days after that and then purees. I decided that for the summer and popsicles might be a great way to get more Protein in. Anyone have any great recipes suggestions?

I just got a couple of cases of Isopure in. The blue one and the punch. They are currently in the refrigerator to try to get really cold, I've heard a lot of people don't like the taste so I'm hoping if its cold the taste won't be as much of a problem. Does anyone use Isopure doctored up with a little bit more sweetener or crystal light or something for popsicles?

I want to try making some popsicles and add crystal light flavor of choice + a scoop of unflavored Unjury. You get 21 grams from one scoop. I love putting a Lemonade Crystal light with a scoop of Unjury strawberry Sorbet for a Strawberry lemonade drink. Very good and refreshing! They would probably make good popsicles too.

I have a bunch if syntax nectar unflavored Protein but a scoop is just 10g protein. When I run out I'll try Unjury. And your strawberry lemonade sounds great! I have the strawberry optimum Protein Powder, I bet I can add the lemonade to that and get the same effect. Great for summer.

I could not stand the taste of the Isopure. Every time I tried to drink it I would gag. I ended up throwing the 4 bottles I got away. I know I had a lot of Popsicles in that two week period. My. Dr told me not to stress over getting the protien in. I'm 8 weeks post surgery and have lost 40 pounds. As long as I get my liquid, protein and Vitamins in everything else comes with time.

The Isopure is much better mixed with Water throughout the day (if you don't have Water issues, that is), or as a popsicle.

Regarding recipes though, I don't have anything exact yet, but I've been planning something with coconut Protein powder, coconut water and maybe some sugar free chocolate Syrup. Also, ginger and lime (probably no Protein added though; just for refreshment and hydration).

I was told sugar free or fruit juice with no suagr added popcicles are fine in these early stages. Main goal is to stay hydrated. Otter Pops make all juce popcicles that are great. Can be found at costco.< /p>

I just had my first bottle of the blue Isopure, it's actually quite good! Tastes a lot like the blue Powerade. I'll try the red tomorrow... Will see how that goes.

My taste buds have always been weird through, things aren't as sweet to me and bitter is really bitter (I can't drink wine)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
