Great to hear, Crystalis!

Hi all, I was officially banded this morning! Was supposed to have a hiatal hernia repair that showed up on my upper GI, but when my surgeon got in there he said there wasn't one. So, woohoo! I am feeling sore and discomfort and I'm SOOOO thankful I've got an amazing boyfriend waiting on me hand and foot. Lots of people say discomfort on their left side but I'm feeling the most pain right in the center incision of my stomach. All in all, I am happy, loved and cared for. Thanks to everyone here for their support and words. Now the journey begins!!!

I'm 11 days post op, getting the hang of how much mushies I can eat, and was able to make a long subway trip with minimal pain. I walk about a mile a day.

Dragon Lady, I'm 10 days post-op, so just one day behind you. What are you eating for mushies? How much/how often are you eating? How long do you have to be on mushies? Sorry for all the questions, just curious about other people's experiences!

Good Luck tomorrow!!!! I know you're nervous. I was banded on July 16th. :)

So I was banded yesterday, the surgeon ended up giving me a band with plication so lucky me. I have 4 incisions :)

Resting up, still in a bit of pain but from what I've heard the third day will be the worst!

Congratulations nerms! The third day was the worst for me but each day since has gotten progressively better. 8 days out feeling really good :)

I just got BANDED on July 28th... Journey is just getting started,,,simple small steps. I must recognize that the goal here is progress....not perfection! Thanks everyone for being here!!

Got it right @racerx. I was banded a week before you. Looking forward to the journey. Right now I have to remind myself to eat or I go too long between meals.

Alicia... You're just up ahead of me... I've been on almost only liquid and I did Atkins Shake and also yogurt... What meals are you enjoying now and when did you fold in more solids?

Nerms...

Resting up, still in a bit of pain but from what I've heard the third day will be the worst! im on the 3rd day and it's much better than the second or first... Looking forward to sharing our successes!!

Ok question how was everyone on their 1st night home? Where my port is is so sore. Is this normal also, did you have a slight temperature when you came home?

I had quite a bit of pain and discomfort. However... Today (day 3) is much better..I've tried to feel the port... But it looks like I'm gonna need to shed some softness around the middle before I can actually feel it!

As soon as I got home I slept like a baby and was able to sleep on my side, later that night I couldn't sleep on my side anymore as it was way too sore. Took some endone and got some sleep just after midnight.

Today is the second day home, so day 3 all up. I feel much less pain and the shoulder pain has also gone away.. Hopefully for good!

When I stand I feel like my insides are falling out, all the pressure kills! Laughing hurts, hiccups and coughs oh god! Everything is much better though. My throat and neck hurt the most really, from the tube in there during surgery.

I'm too scared to feel around for where the port is but I'm guessing it's where the most pain is coming from.

My bandages are a bit bloody with pus and I'm supposed to take them off tomorrow.. Bit scared to do that too.

Definitely not getting enough fluids in!
