So I got my sleeve Thursday and came home today. Not a whole lot of pain but my face has been flushed red and itchy since Friday when I was still in hospital. Nurse told me it could be meds, I was on morphine. Now I am home and the facial heat is awful. Any ideas on how to relieve this?

I had bad facial flushing from my Dilaudid. My face was flushed in hospital and i didn't think much of it, and then the first time i took the pain pill at home my face was horribly flushed within 20 minutes. I looked it up on the internet and it was a possible side effect of that med. My pain wasn't too bad anyway, so just took tylenol after that.

That sounds like a good idea to me too. They sent me home w hydra codeine but I don't think the pain is too bad to warrant that, so maybe Tylenol. Of course there could be residual pain meds in my system from earlier, so I might be singing a different tune tonight.
