I'm getting SO excited! My surgery date is 6/19 and my pre-op liquid diet starts on 6/5. I just had my final appointment at the surgeons office and everything went great! I feel better about the pre-op diet, but honestly that's what I'm most scared about. I can have 5 Protein shakes a day, plus 48-64 oz of other liquids daily (up two 2c broth, sf Jello, sf, Popsicles, any sugar free drinks), plus they want me to have 8 oz of fruit juice daily for calories. They said I should lose 9-15 lbs during this time. Surely, if I get through the two weeks, I can handle the surgery! I'm pumped
I told my kids today (ages 9 and 7) that I will be going to the hospital in a few weeks so that the doctor can help me get healthy. They had some good kid-friendly questions for me, and I think I handled it pretty good!
Another thing that I'm excited about is not having to refill all of my meds I take daily! They think I will be off of everything! Yay! ????
