Sleeve surgery in 4 days!

I'm a 30 year old wife and mom of 3 kids(9,7,&4). With each pregnancy I gained a few (or 25) pounds. The weight stuck with me and now I am 5'4" and 237 lbs. I'm super nervous about the surgery itself and the recovery afterwards. Also, I haven't followed the pre-surgery diet like I should have! Any words of encouragement would be helpful!!!

Good luck on surgery day! It's totally normal to be nervous. It'll be over soon and you'll be on your way to your new, healthy life. Just follow what they tell you to do and you will heal quickly, and without any complications. Most people are told to get up and walk as soon as possible after they get back into their rooms after the surgery. The more you can walk the less gas pains you'll have. When you get home, Protein and Water are more important than focusing on that number on the scale for now. . .

The surgery was 10 times easier than expected, one night in hospital, one dose of pain med at home, and shopped in 2days. Have not slowed down since. I am 67 years old and my husband too, and it has been wonderful, absolutely no problem. We also both had hernias repaired. My weight loss is 60 lbs, and he has lost 90, in less than 7 months. Warning, it will be harder with kids and food in the home. We can pretty much eat anything now, we just don't keep bread, sweets and pasta in the house. Good luck!
