Thyroid

Anyone post op with gastric bypass that takes thyroid medication? If so, any concerns or problems with absorption ?

      No symptoms of any problem for me. I also take other meds. I was never warned about any problems. Bloodwork coming at 3 mos. Don't take your vitamins for at least 2 hrs after taking your thyroid

      I'm one year post op. I take Synthroid for hypothyroidism. I've had no problems - all my labs have been good. :-)

    I take Armour for my hypothyroidism. I've yet to have my blood work done (very overdue).

    I don't think there has been any problems with absorption, but I take my Armour very early in the morning and don't eat anything for at least an hour so that nothing infers with it's potency.

    That said...I do feel very tired at time...so I'm off now to book my blood work.
