4 days post op & regretting surgery

I really need some advice guys !

I'm 4 days post op and at this point I still can not keep ANYTHING down no matter how many nausea pills I take or ant-acid pills (bith barely go down). I am now at the point of shaking, sleeping only an hour at a time and I bent down to grab my phone and I fell over. Is this normal, has anyone else felt like this a few days post op? The Dr's office told me to suck sf popsicles those help I'm seriously wanting to just turn myself into the ER and I am really wishing I had never done this stupid surgery. Help please I feel so alone and out of my own body :(

  • Please call your surgeon, you may need a stronger anti nausea medication and/or IV fluids. I had terrible nausea the first 2 days home, called my surgeon & he called in a script for dissolvable Zo

Zofran is what I'm on too. I also drink Gatorade. Give yourself time to heal. Sit in a comfy chair and suck you Popsicles and sip Gatorade.

I need some advice. I'm 3 weeks post op and I'm so very weak and have the worst breath and everything I try tastes horrible. I had a emotional break down yesterday. I felt like I made a huge mistake with this surgery and just really wanted regular food and to feel stronger. Going to the grocery store completely wiped me out.since May 5th surgery, I'm down 20lbs. Any advice

Sorry to hear you feel so bad. I was sleeved on May 1st so we're close. Are you getting in all your liquid and protein? It makes a huge difference. I also take B complex every day. Yes, breath is an issue, especially if you don't get enough fluid. And protein shakes don't help it! Call your doc. At this point you should be able to chew sugar free gum as long as you don't swallow it of course. Hope you feel better soon!

The first few days were the worst for me but and it does get better. Try to keep fluids in, anyway you can! If your body is telling you something isn't right, than listen and go see your surgeon.

Keep us posted.

It's bittersweet to hear I'm not the only one struggling! I was sleeved on the 13 th. Yesterday I almost passed out in the shower was lightheaded felt absolutely terrible ...when I walk I get dizzy. I went to hospital got an infusion and labs. The fluids helped a bit I feel better than yesterday but not 100%. I to have been wondering if I made a mistake! I started on pureed foods today but honestly I'm scared to eat because I don't want to get sick. I ate half of a scrambled egg 1/3 cup of cream broccoli and 1/4 cup of SF pudding. Weird thing is my stomach is always growling does it ever go away....I'm so ready for the healing phase to be over...
