PASTA Anyone!

I am 12 days post op and was so excited to learn about the spiralizers that are on the market today! You can make beautiful pasta out of zucchini and dress it with your own sauce. There are several styles to choose from ... Have fun! I can't wait to try some recipes in a few weeks!

If you are a veggie fan it works out great. I've done it with zucchini in the past. But honestly, I am 5 weeks out and able to eat regular pasta. I'm buying protein fortified to add a little extra protein to my day. I'm not a big veggie fan especially when I can have the real stuff.

>Amy, I too am at my 5 weeks post op for RNY, my question to you are you eating whole wheat pasta? or what kind of Pasta? I do miss my pasta but am totally SCARED to try it for fear of dumping. what kind are you eating I may I say may try it.

Thanks

Thanks

I've had a variety of pasta with no issue. Ramon noodles, microwave mac n cheese, regular pasta mixed with tuna. I've had perogies. Tonight I had part of a lean cuisine cheese lasagna. I've not had an issue with any of it. I was allowed to add pasta at the start of week 4.

Now I will say, it freaks my mother out that I am eating pasta because she said it was several years before she could, but her program didn't allow it or bread. Mine allows both.
