back pain

hi friends...

You are all such a wealth of information...Any ideas for me? I was sick last week with a bad flu and from staying in bed for a few days, I really pulled my back out. I usually do a regiment of Aleve for a few days and I am back to normal. But we are not supposed to take ibuprofen or naproxsyn sodium with the band.

Now I know you are all going to say that I need to call the doctor, but is there any over the counter stuff that you can recommend in the meantime? the Tylenol just isn't cutting it and I can barely move. It stinks!

My bariatric center told us that ibuprofen for short periods of time are OK. If you need to stay on it for an extended period of time then you might need to talk to your doctor. But, I've taken it for a day or two during back issues and I've been OK. I'm not trying to over-rule your doctor...I'm just saying that I have taken it for very short time periods without issue. Ibuprofen is the only thing that works for my back too. I like Bayer Back and Body. It works pretty good for me, plus the pills are small.
