Met Nesrene today at TLBC. :clap2: She is, as many of you stated, beautiful and really open about her own surgery.

Let me say first off that the building itself is very discreet. I actually thought it would have a big sign outside blaring out :) TORONTO LAPBAND CENTRE:eek: . I let them know i appreciated that. There was one lady in the waiting room and I just started to ask her questions and she was very willing to share info with me. When she went for her fill, a husband wife team came in and were equally willing to share info. What a great place. We were all in the same boat. We were finishing each others sentences. Soon after a lady came in from Virginia USA. She made me realize how lucky I was to live so close to the clinic.

After seeing Nesrene I met with Dr. Yau. He sure does look young!! Wow is he great. He actually said that we were going to have a long relationship and that he wanted me to come in whenever I felt I needed to even if it was to sit with the people in the waiting room as he said they are a great source of inspiration and information. That is a compliment to all of you that go there in case he never had the opportunity to say it directly to you. He made me feel so comfortable.

I start my pre-op on Monday and will have my surgery on April 26th at 1:00 pm. I will have a big steak on Sunday and a big crusty bun because it sounds like they are the most difficult things to get down.

I left a note in "What's wrong with me" asking for some idea of what a typical day of food would be:hungry: . I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me some info.

Thanks for all your great support, advise and inspiration. You are all so willing to share your feelings and I am truly grateful.

p.s. I will be having surgery on my aaahhhh "ulcer":D, yeah that's it.....

Hi Donna,

First off congrats and good luck ! : )

A first day on stage 3 for me was ... LOTS of Protein drinks - I had the slim fast at first then switched the carnation premade 4 pks (which i LOVE) . Lots of Water ... Crystal light. I found it hard just getting my 60g of Protein on the first couple of days because i didn't want to eat/drink...nothing! But i knew to stay hydrated.

Also, I was a little hesitate to have anything but those ^ ^ ^ for the first week.. seriously. Though i know many people went right to the Soup and everything else.. I waited a bit longer.

Whipped Cottage cheese by Friendship became my BEST friend! As did FF/SF pudding! Popsicls! And again... all of those drinks ^ .. I also had the hand held on the go Tomato Soups. It was tough at first, but I was able to stick it out! Hell - I had no choice but to ! lol.

I'm a pretty basic eater.... I'm picky So a typical day on Stage 3

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
