10 wks. 40 lbs. I'm not gonna lie, it's a big lifestyle change, but still happy I did it. My life just doesn't revolve around food anymore. I no longer live to eat. I eat to live! You'll do great!

8 weeks out and lost 32 pounds. I feel so much better. I'd do it again a million times over.

I am 1 week today and so pre-surgery I lost 20 pounds. Since surgery I have lost another 11.5 pounds. So in total since January I have lost 31.5 pounds. I haven't regretted having WLS for one second, even right after surgery in the hospital. I was really nervous about the surgery but everything is going really smoothly and I have been really happy with it all, even though I am still on liquids for another week. :)

From MY personal start of process ( Aug. 1 2013) I have lost a total of 86lbs. Since my surgery date I have lost 53lbs. Yes, I realize my weight loss is slower than some others. Everyone is different and will lose at different rates. The main thing is I have lost 86 POUNDS! And I am continuing to lose, just very slowly. For me it is a marathon and not a sprint, I can live with that. I am happy to be down to where I am and look forward to wherever I go. I am more active and able to do things I haven't been able to do in years!!! And I am one size away from shopping in a women's dept. and not in plus size!!! So yay and yay. Try hard not to compare yourself and your weight loss to anyone else, it can be a big mental trap. (One I had to fight myself out of)

8 weeks 33 pounds.

i have learned so much about myself, about what is important (NOT FOOD), I feel so much healthier, my skin and hair look healthier, everything just seems so much better.
