Hello Everyone,

Well first of all I would like to thank my Dr's offce for introducing me to these websites I am hoping to have my surgery in October and if everything goes according to plan it will happen......I been on my diet for a month and lost 7 lbs, it doesn't sound like much but to me it is because I was at a standstill in my weight. I am just keeping focused and trying very hard to be good and not eat what I shouldn't which is hard but I know I have to stay positive because this is my health I am talking about!! I want to be around for as long as the Lord lets me but also enjoying doing activities that I could not before. So good luck to all who will be having the surgery before me.....

Been awhile since I been on here but do read all that is written ☺. Anyway got the results from my EGD n looks like I will have to have my gallbladder removed before the surgery.....which might delay my Oct surgery. Still gotta get an upper GI before they make plans to remove it so.....just gotta stay focused.

It's so nice to hear about everyone's stories. I am all done jumping through all the hoops... 6 month weight management, EKG, psych eval, gall bladder ultrasound.. and ready for surgery on Oct. 7th. Surgeon is booked out that far.

Well I got my cardiology clearance today, and will be doing blood work in the morning. Surgical Clearance appointment on Sept 10th should be no problem now. Then they should submit to insurance and give me my date. WhoooHoooo.

hi all!

i have my endoscopy and colonoscopy scheduled for next tuesday, which is my last pre-op test! woohoo!

i have my last weigh in the week after, on 9/23. i haven't lost as much as they (surgeon's office) wanted me to, so i'm a little nervous about how they will handle that. they weren't very warm and fuzzy when i went in for my last one and stayed the same weight. (i lost 6 lbs the first month.)

they bummed me out so much, i called the insurance company and found out that THEIR only requirement is that i don't GAIN weight during the three month period. so, i can't imagine the surgeon will actually turn me down. i'm trying as hard as i can to be good, and hope to show a few more pounds down.

my head is totally into this, i can't focus on anything else. october is going to rock this year! it's my birthday month, and this year it will be my RE-birthday month.
