Surgery May 8th.. Excited and Nervous!

Now that my surgery date is approaching in 2 days I'm excited but more nervous than anything. Just 2 weeks ago it seemed so far away but now its starring me in the face. I try not to think of the negative with going under anesthesia and everything but there's this fear of the unknown that seems to be bothering me. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way. Can anyone out there relate to what I'm going through right now??

Heck, yeah. I had no idea what was really going on in my head the weekend before my surgery (it was on a Monday). I went shopping. I got a massage. I cried. I looked through before/after pictures here. I read success stories. I got excited. I cried some more. I was terrified.

And it's all normal.

You're going to be fine. Please keep us posted, and see you on the "loser's bench"!

Be well…

Heyyy, CoverGirl

I most diffidently can relate. My date is the 14, it seems so long away. I rejoiced when after two years insurance issues, wait lists, different surgeons/programs.., the time is here!

BUT, now what?! This is a big step for us, it's a lifestyle change. I signed in to see if anybody felt the same too. For me, I'm changing but not my stressors. I'm hoping to replace "comfort foods" with physical activities. i.e. yoga, Water aerobics, something productive.

I planned on doing the same as Denise as mental pick me up. We did it, we made it through the classes, the psy test etc..,

So please don't be fearful, feel victorious and fearless-as your name suggests you are. Please update me when can.

~Take care
