Hi, is there anyone who knows of Doctors who do fills in Montreal or area? I live midway between Ottawa and Montreal. So far no surgeons in P.Qc., unless I am mistaken?

Thank you to susansilver, Wheezy and litar, the list is really appreciated. Also, thanks for telling me that I can get a video that my GP can look over, I'm sure we could figure it out pretty easily. The information that everyone can provide on this site is quite amazing... It's also great that it's from people going through this procedure as well a being living proof it works...

Thanks for being there

Hello, Spa Diva does fills...if they did not band you, they charge 200$ for each fill...they are located in downtown montreal on Peel street...

I was banded 48 hrs ago in montreal at l' Hotel Dieu hospital by a very nice surgeon dr Pierre Leclerc.

Hi,

I was banded on 26th of August at Rockland Medical Clinic in Montréal by Doctor Henry Atlas. !! Everything went very well. We live in New Brunswick and we have onlly ONE doctor for all the Maritime. Dr S Beausoleil in Moncton. Of course do you think he takes somebody with only 40 BMI? Nope. He takes people with grave complication from obesity... so after of 11 hours driving in car, we went twice to Montréal: To meet Dr Atlas and bingo... for the surgery at Rockland Medical Clinic on August 26, 08.

Now I love to read all the forums on lapband because I am one of them.

God bless all of us who try hard to keep in shape.

l'hopital Pierre-Boucher of Longueuil has a new surgeon that do the lap band is name is Dr Hugo Diec He's the one that did ma surgery. You may be able to have a appointement with him

but the Rockland medical center seems the best choice since it's a private clinic

Thank you Geneviève for the information. I will keep his name. I have my pre-opt appointment with Dr Atlas at the end of October. At that time, I will probably need my 1st fill. So far so good. I am loosing slowly since I am back to school. My appetite is not realy back yet.

How are you doing? Did you have your first filling?

Madame Suzanne

Bonjour Madame Suzane

I'm doing just great. Ma weight loss is perfect for me. I had ma first ans only fill 5 weeks after my surgery ans up to now every thing works fine. My next appointment is november 27.

Where in New-Brunscick are you exactly? I lived in Moncton for 5 years, a whent to Moncton University.

Hi Geneviève,

Coincidence.... I graduated from U of Moncton in 1997 in BED. I am a French Immersion Teacher for District 6. We live in Hampton.

As you know a doctor who does lapband surgery is so rare in the Maritime. Dr Beausoleir of George Dumont do not take any patient unless you are half dead!. So I choose to pay and go to Montréal (being born in St-Hyacithe area). I will see my doctor next month for my first fill.... I am still loosing slowly but my scale makes me smile now. What about you, when did you graduate? Do you work in your field?

Take care !

Madame Suzanne :smile2:

Bonjour Madame Suzane

I graduated U du M in 1998 in Art Dramatique!

About doctors in maritimes I know it's terrible. One of my friend try and shw was told 7 to 8 years on the waiting list and to me she's already half dead! She's triing to get de money to come to Montreal as soon as possible.

When you come to Montréal for your fill maybe we could find time to meet in person, anyway let me know what you think...
