I received my approval from BCBS-Fed today! I am so excited. I go to my cardiologist next Thursday for my cardiology clearance and then I have to meet with surgeon and sign consents and schedule surgery! I am so excited!....and scared!!!!!

They submitted my file on Tuesday the 22nd and I heard back from my surgeon's office yesterday. My BMI was under 40, so I think thats why it took as long as it did. I've heard that others with BCBS-Fed hear back in 3 days, but like I said, I think its maybe because my BMI was under 40 and they had to review all the other tests/info. Good luck to you. After a long and dreaded two day wait I finally got the approval from BCBS I'm so excited to get this process started . Yay us !!

Im with Coventry Advantra HMO, My packet got sent Tuesday April 29th. Insurance said it takes 24-48hrs but if they're backed up with claims then it could take up to two wks. I'm praying for surgery date sometime the end of May. Does anyone have Coventry Advantra Medicare?

Got approved today! Surgery schedule for May 19th. Start liquid diet May 12th. So excited!
