Pre-paid cell service

I have a prepaid cell phone through Net10 and I wonder if I will get any service in San Diego? It shows coverage but we all know that coverage maps still have gaps in service.

    I have strait talk and that is track phone which is also net10. it worked in San Diego and then I downloaded Viber and that let me talk to

    my family who also downloaded Viber, for free from Mexico.
