5 days post op

Well, the soreness is going away little by little and so is the gas. I am having a terrible time getting much protein and I have felt good til this afternoon, I feel really weak and tired. I have lost 17 lbs to date and I haven't felt hungry at all. I have head hunger today because I feel weak I guess. Right now I am trying to drink a glass of isopure and it doesn't taste bad, but the feeling it leaves in my mouth is strange, kinda hard to handle. I can't wait to start back on my protein shakes Wednesday.

Congrats on your new journey!!

You taste buds change after surgery. At this point focus on fluids. Last thing you want is to get dehydrated.

Loss of hunger. I found that to be the case too. It wasn't hard to lose weight when the beast called hunger was not constantly knocking on your door.

During the first few months after surgery, most foods loss their taste. But then your taste buds change.
