Diet Stages

I am two weeks post op. I was having trouble getting my protein in so my Dr and dietician advanced me to purée/mashed foods. They said I am healing quickly and were not concerned. However I am terrified of a leak. Did anyone else advance quickly?

At two weeks I started my pureed foods as well and did fine. I pureed tuna with mayo and a half of hard boiled egg. I couldn't eat but about 5 bites but it was protein and it filled me up. Did the same with chicken and it was wonderful. I ate grilled/baked Talapia too and since it is so flakey I ate it as it was. It was a life saver. You won't get leaks from eating pureed food. Just don't be eating chips and hard candy and junk. If you can only eat small amounts, add powdered protein to your puree and you will be set to go. Good luck and see you on the losers bench.
