Does anyone know of a tasteless Protein I can put into Water or juice or something so that I can get more protein in my diet. I am at the mushy stage and by my calculations I am getting probably 20+ grams a day of protein but I should probably be getting about 40 at this point. THe Protein Shakes are not something I can see myself eating long term so is there some solution?

I found something that helps with the protein and the Water intake - I purchased Isopure Zero Carb - no sugar, 40gms of protein in a 20oz bottle. It comes in different flavors, grape, berry, punch, & apple. You can purchase it at GNC for $3.99. It is a little pricey but worth it!

I have Isopure and the whey Protein Powder in chocolate but they both are making me naseous and I have only been banded since 3/20. I definitely need something that is TASTELESS and won't make anything thick and gloppy. Ideally I don't even want to be able to know its there. Does anyone know if Unjury would do that?

I make my own Protein Water using New Whey Orange flavor and Propel

1 tube New Whey (42 grams protein) - Orange flavor

1 bottle propel Mandaring Orange or Mango flavor

Mix in 1 liter bottle - add filtered tap Water to fill the liter out.

196 calories for 42 grams of Protein with the added Vitamins from the propel.

The flavor is very NON-nauseating. A nice light orange.

I get the protein at DPS Nutrition website. http://www.dpsnutrition.net/get_item_ID132.htm

Please note - I don't work for, or own stock in DPS Nutrition or New Whey/IDS, or Propel. I just like this liquid Protein and have been quite happy to have no hair loss, nor any other band related problems.

Good Luck!

I can't stand Isopure products. On another list we refer to it as Isopuke. We also decided to hunt down the makers of Isopuke like wild dogs. :D

Try unjury for an unflavored Protein. Don't skip protein!!! You will starve if you don't get your Protein in. Sugar makes you want to eat your right arm. Protein kills hunger.

After clears are done try Matrix 5.0. Cookies and Cream if you really like sweets, chocolate if you just like chocolate milk.

Oh, Crapola!!! I just bought 2 cases of that stuff off of GNC--it was buy 1 get one 1/2 off--the dietician from Dr. C's site said just to make sure it was REALLY cold--I figured I'd put it in the freezer like an hour before I was going to drink half of it! pffttt....I hope I can stomach it--I'm getting things ready for my post-op liquid diet and wanted to make sure i was getting enough protein!

I know you aren't super fond of the shakes, but I use them for Breakfast (sipping slowly) and have gotten used to them.

I've found this to be a pretty good Protein concoction: 1/2 scoop chocolate Slim Fast, 1/2 scoop chocolate unjury powder, and 1 cup skim milk. The calorie count is about 200 and the Protein count is 20 g. (10 g protein in the Unjury, 9 in the skim milk and 1 in the Slim Fast.)

Another idea: Blend 1 prepackaged cup of sugar free Chocolate pudding (60 cal), about 1/4 cup skim milk (30 cal) and 1 full scoop unflavored Unjury (40 cal). That would give you 22 g of protein for about 130 calories.

Also, IMO, you should be getting more like 60 g protein per day.

Hi,

I add unflavored whey (which you can find at GNC) to sugar free carnation instant Breakfast and 8 ounces of skim milk; CIB is 4 grams of Protein + the whey is a total of 25 grams of protein. It is really good if you mix it in a blender!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
