Severe headache?

So tomorrow morning is surgury and I am super excited but I woke up this morning with a intense migraine. Normally I can take care of these with pain meds and imitrex but this one just keeps getting worse. I am on the 2nd day of Clear liquids also. Is this normal? Would they postpone the surgery if it is still as bad tomorrow?

Has anyone else had experience with migraines with surgery? Thanks

True! I am hoping that if its still bad when I get there they will give me something for the pain while I am in pre op too! Thanks!

Absolutely! Had a horrid headache one week prior to surgery and it went away after surgery. Do not know if it was dehydration (I was very dehydrated the morning of surgery), or caffeine withdrawal or what. But I suffered! Maybe drink more liquids.

Its happened before. Most likely its just your body freaking out from the pre op diet and clear liquids now. Just try to drink more fluids and get some rest to get it to pass.

Doubtful they postpone it, you'll be knocked out with good drugs anyhow so no worries!

You will get through it. Hope you are sleeping tonight, peacefully! God Bless!
