Lesson learned, starting over

Bad day today, went in for my three month check with my doctor. Seven pounds gained. In.a.month. O.M.G. How does one gain seven pounds in a month? Other than feeding ones face constantly. I finally realize I'm a junkie, a food addict. Nothing more, nothing less. So today I start over, six more months before my doctor will sign off on my surgery. I have to find a way to hold myself accountable. Long road ahead with so much to learn about myself.

Sorry to hear that. I know I had 8 months to lose 25 lbs and I did it and then I gained it all back. I had like 4 weeks left before my surgery date and I went on a crash diet. I went on Protein shakes and tried that for a little bit and could not stand it so I just cut my calories down to about 500 a day. The first week I lost 16 lbs the second week I lost 8 lbs the third week I gained 4 lbs. The last week I lost 8 lbs and the day before surgery I was 7 lbs below what the doc wanted me to be at. I was very worried they would postpone my date and I did not want to have to wait any longer after waiting 8 months.

Any way hang in there I am sure you will make the next date :)

a friend of mine just started attending a treatment group for eating disorders. maybe you can find something like that where you live. i know 12 step programs dont have much of a track record with food addiction, so maybe start with therapist who start specializes in ED?

Thank you both for the support, tomorrow is a new day. I am going to start a program through one of the hospitals here in town so I'm hoping it will help.

Thanks again for your thoughts and support :)
