going for first fill

I go 04/24/07 fo my first fill. It will be exactly 8 weeks, banded on 03/06/07. I have lost 15 lbs. Question, can you eat like normal that day? I do not go until 4:00 pm. Looking forward to first fill!!

congrats on your weight loss....after your fill, you will be instructed to have only soups the first day and the next couple of days its back to the mushies. It really isn't bad.....just think of the end result. good luck!

I am going for my first fill on Thursday...it has almost been a year since my surgery...I hope I will be able to feel the difference.

Most doctors recommend you should stay on liquid diet for the next few days after a fill. Go easy and don't mess around with your stomach after a fill. Liquids on the first 48 hrs and purée/mushy food on the following, before going back to solid food.

well, I had my first fill on Thursday...I still dont feel any difference though...I have been drinking shakes, and I actually ate some baby food today because I was really hungry...and I am getting very discouraged. I am scared that this fill didn't do any good.

I have never had a prob eating after a fill, although I am told to do the whole liquid thing for two days. With that said, I didnt feel retstriction unil fill number three or so. Dont get discouraged if it takes a few to get to the point where the band is working for you. They cant (or shouldnt) tighten you up as much as possible at once. Its a process.

I had my first fill yesterday and my AMAZING doctor told me to stay on liquids the rest of the day and today (Saturday) I feel AMAZING... and I'm glad I get mushies tomorrow, becuase I'm craving some egglplant ran through the food processer YUM-O!
