My paperwork was submitted today to my insurance company. I have Affinity Health Plan Medicaid. I am hoping for a speedy approval. I have a BMI of 47 and high cholesterol along with joint pain and I am hoping to hear back soon. Wish me luck everyone!

I also submitted mine on the 8th have fep blue cross blue shield basic keeping my fingers crossed bmi was 39 with gerd

I got my approval today!!!!!!!!so happy can't wait till surgery date is May 28

Congrats! I wish I could say the same. My insurance denied my claim because I needed to be tested for H. Pylori and I needed to get medical clearance for surgery from my primary doctor. I did the test for H. Pylori yesterday and I am waiting on the paperwork from my doctor.

Good luck diva, I got the pilloried test when they did my endoscopy. I think even if you test positive for h pylori you just take meds till it's clear then you can have surgery

I resubmitted my paperwork last Thursday with all of the testing that my insurance company required. I got a call today and I was APPROVED! My surgery date is June 3rd!
