burping after eating??

I ws banded on March 12 and since then I always seem to burp after I eat. Does this mean I am eating too much or is it normal?

I am sticking with my doc's recommendation but it is kind of hard to eyeball 3/4 cup a food sometimes.

I burp a bunch of times...every time I eat! Kind of embarrassing. I get the hiccups too, but only for a short time. I was banded in February and it's hasn't stopped yet. Maybe it's a new part of our "banded character" ??

I found that I was reallllllly eating too fast or I was taking too big of a bite. I was banded a week ago, but once I took more time and smaller bites, the baby burps went away. Good luck

I was banded 2/19/07. I have been burping ever since. No matter how fast or how slow I eat. Drinking too. The hiccups are more common now than before surgery as well. It reminds me of a water cooler as the food passes through the stoma. Kind of wierd but worth the trade! I have had one fill and notice more burping now.

All of the above. Burping and hiccuping is part of the sensors telling you that you are full. Take the warning and stop eating when you get the signal. Good luck. Julie
