Egg drop soup

What do you think? Is this allowed during the 10 day preop liquid diet? What about after?

I had it after surgery during liquid stage, it was great - tasty and soothing. The sodium probably isn't great if you add a touch of soy sauce, but I didn't care and it did not hurt me.

Do u know if egg drop contains pork or is it made with all chicken stock? I don't think I can have it on pre-op diet until I strain the little egg floaters out.

I had a small cup both Pre & Post Op with no problems.

Its fairly low calorie, around 60.

Color me guilty because I had the egg drop soup both pre and post-op. It saved me because that chicken broth in a can had no taste and I was not motivated to eat it.
