Potential fall sleevers?

I am currently completing my requirements for surgery. My final 6 month supervised diet will be in July so I am hoping for an August / September date. Anyone else?

I just started my journey April 3rd. I am now doing all the test I have 3 test left. The psychological, endoscopy and a EKG which I the last 3 appointments with the next 3 weeks. I can't wait for August/September to have my sleeve. I'm so excited. I was going to do the last year but I was not ready. Now I'm so ready to do this.

That's awesome for everybody. I'm almost half way through my process. I have my 3rd of 6 supervised diet appointments next week. Then I only have my May, June, and July visits left and then it can be submitted. I've lost and gained during these 3 months but have tried my best and learned so much thus far about protein first, staying hydrated, vitamins, portion size etc. I'm really excited for a second chance and am really looking forward to it.

I started my journey a month ago and just had my first follow up / weigh in with my surgeon today. So far I've lost 9 pounds so I am excited about that. I'm hoping to have my surgery around September once I jump through all these hurdles for the insurance company. Good luck everyone!!

Im one and a half months into the process of getting the sleeve. I'm finding it hard to get my butt moving to go for walks.

I also was a huge ice cream eater which I stopped eating it a while ago. Just yesterday I bought some and ate it then I was so mad at myself. I'm I know I should start out like 10 minutes a day. I guess I just needed to get that off my chest.

I have to complete a 6 month physician documented & supervised diet and hope to have an Aug. / Sept. date, as well. I've been going crazy fulfilling all kinds of tests. How about you?

Me too. I have an EKG and psychology test left. I will complete mt test within the next two weeks.

So far I've completed

- seminar

- consultation

- Blood work / EKG

- sleep study

- 1st NUT visit

- next week is my 2nd NUT , so I am trying to get it out the way

I have been even trying different shakes, started on my vitamins, biotin etc..... even learning to sip water and not gulp

I just attended my first appointment with the nutritionist. My insurance requires 3 month supervised diet and pysch visit, so I'm hoping for a Sept/Oct surgery. I'm excited, but nervous! Good luck to you all.

I just finished all my pre op test. I have my dietary and exercise classes. Dietary is monthly and exercise is twice a week.

I see my surgeon again in June.

I wish I had to wait 3months. Six months is a long time...at least for it is.

Hi Everyone! I am hoping to have my sleeve surgery before the fall. I received my referral on 4/29 and I have my consult/seminar on 5/13. Words cannot express how excited I am to get started. Best wishes to everyone going through the journey! Hopefully, we can keep each other motivated and encouraged. All the best.

Do you have to do the 6 month wait ?

I go tomorrow for my consultation and seminar. To my knowledge I will not have to do a six month wait but I am not totally sure. I will definitely update my status tomorrow night. Do you?

Yes I have to wait 6 month my last class isn't until Sept 2, 2014 so I guess after that they will submit paper work hoping to get schedule in Sept or at least the 1st week of Oct

Well the good news is you will be well prepared for the change in eating and your liver, heart and gallbladder will be happier and healthier before surgery. I do not have to do 6 months but I was told weight gain will disqualify me from surgery which make sense and the doc also said it is recommended to lose 5 to 10% prior to surgery. I am going to start a high protein, low carb diet now so I am more prepared. I have also started timing my eating and sipping my drinks. Sipping and not gulping is hard for me but I will get it I hope. Best of luck to you throughout the journey!
