  12. Hi Everyone! I am a newbie in the process too. I have already completed my information seminar and two nutrition classes, but still have my psych eval (in two weeks), final nutrition class (next week), EGD and meeting with surgeon before the surgery. I am so ready to see this process through to the end. I am hoping to have my surgery in September if all goes well and everything is approved. Lets keep each other encouraged! All the best, E.
  13. Well the good news is you will be well prepared for the change in eating and your liver, heart and gallbladder will be happier and healthier before surgery. I do not have to do 6 months but I was told weight gain will disqualify me from surgery which make sense and the doc also said it is recommended to lose 5 to 10% prior to surgery. I am going to start a high protein, low carb diet now so I am more prepared. I have also started timing my eating and sipping my drinks. Sipping and not gulping is hard for me but I will get it I hope. Best of luck to you throughout the journey!
  14. Hi everyone: I am likely going to be a fall sleever. I have begun the process (attended my seminar and 1st NUT class on Tuesday) and have 2 more NUT classes, psych eval and EGD to complete. I also will have a one on one with my surgeon before my surgery date is scheduled. I am very excited to see this through. Best of luck to everyone on your journey!
  15. I go tomorrow for my consultation and seminar. To my knowledge I will not have to do a six month wait but I am not totally sure. I will definitely update my status tomorrow night. Do you?
  16. Congratulations on your success!
