Would like to connect with others in Georgia on this WLS journey. I have UHC and they require the hospital be a 5 star center of excellence and in my area that's only 2 hospitals. I absolutely love my surgeon thank goodness but the hospital in my opinion can use a major face lift. Credential wise I have no concern about the hospital just wish it was more pleasing to the eye with a bariatric floor. Several fellow Sleevers hospital of choice had a bariatric floor which I thought was awesome! At my hospital no bariatric floor and no complimentary Bari Bear LOL but I'm ordering mines on line.

I am seeing Dr Dennis Smith in Marietta. I will be going to Kennestone Hospital.. I also have United Healthcare. I really do like their program. They also have Support groups to attend.

I'm in the waiting game with the insurance company (cigna) but Dr. Macik's asst. Tiffany says don't worry. It's been 3 weeks but she says it is usually 6 before she gets the answer. So here I sit no date waiting,hoping to get the call of approval any day plus my date for this to happen. As I wait I have been trying different protein drinks,between my visits to my trainer at the gym.<br> He swears I'm tougher then most his clients but isn't there the next day to see just host stiff I really am. Made the lifestyle change just waiting on my date to get my kick start. 6 weeks of 1200 calories and 3 days a week with trainer and have only lost 10 pounds. Everyday I hope to get my call from Tiffany! though the process has been interesting, and I've learned a lot from reading everyone's posts.<br> By the way I'm in Acworth GA. And 5'7 and 308lbs

I met Tiffany when I went to interview Dr Macik as a potential surgeon. I decided to go with a different surgeon but Tiffany was very pleasant.
