Pre op liquids = constipation?

Am I crazy? I am pretty sure I haven't had a normal movement since my last full solids meal. Has this happened to anyone else and how can I fix this with only liquids? I'm on Day 8 of liquids.

FYI. For my Dr - liquids also include Greek yogurt and soupy oatmeal etc.

Ohhh, poor you. Saw my dietician this week, and she explained this is a side effect that can be helped by taking Magnesium Hydroxide to relieve the symptoms. Not a nice feeling, and I wish you luck

It's strange but I'm going to call them today and ask too. Also extremely gassy. Ugh.

Hi Jaime:

If you're constipated try a teaspoon of mineral oil once a day. It helped me when I had that problem.

I guess this is problem is better than the opposite reaction.

Good luck!
