Post Op March 2014

I just had my surgery on the 10th and I feel so full under my ribs when I drink, is this normal or gas? I hope we March peeps and other veterans can support each other. This app is a Godsend!

So something kind of amazing happened today. I asked for 4 weeks off work. My doctors office said start with 4, and we could ask for more if I needed it. MetLife is notorious for only approving 4 week

  • *A non-scale victory shout out* I was walking through my house yesterday in front of my family, with my hands full and my pants fell to my ankles!!!!!! I was so happy/excited I couldn't be embarrassed

Congrats, Sarah! You look fantastic!

Yes I don't like food much either. Dealing with nausea but my energy is good. When was the last time you had your iron level checked? I take biotin daily so no issues with hair. Good job on your weight loss and I hope you feel better soon

I havn't had any blood work done yet. Go back to see my surgeon in 3 weeks so we'll see then what she has to say.

So my energy levels have been good but I've been having almost like cramps in my shoulders. They're always tense and I have some numbness and tingling. Anyone having this issue? I've been going to the chiropractor to see if that helps some.

I got my 6 month blood work back today, and it wasn't great. Let's just say I haven't done a great job remembering to take my vitamins. So I went and bought some new ones, and got a bottle to keep in my desk and some to keep in my purse and I'm going to do better. Hopefully that will also help with the shoulder issues.

I've also been trying to up my fluid intake the past few days because I've been hungry all the time and it's seemed to help a lot.

I can so relate with the tingling and vitamin situation. I wasn't the best at taking my vitamins and gradually day by day my legs and feet and toes were very tingly and even got crazy numb like a going to sleep feeling and it has stayed liked that going on 3 months. Little did I know I developed a vitamin deficiency to b1. So now I set alarms to remind to take my vitamins lol bc let me tell ya I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy. You never realize how much something means until you don't have it and let me tell ya it's hard to cope with the fact that I'm only 28 and at one point was having to walk with a walker for support. So needless to say I will try my best to NEVER forget my vitamins again lol .

I always forget mine as well. I am trying to get better. My main issue is energy to get through my work outs. I get my labs checked in three weeks so I will get it together before then dont want any problems. They already thing I may be anemic becasue of my energy and I am always cold like always. I am very happy with my progress thus far and wish everyone luck.

2012 to today. And yes, I actually completed my first walk. I couldn't run it, it was 4.5 miles uphill, but I did it!
