It's great to hear post op. Stories....I'm nervous as hell. Looks like I will be traveling to Jerusalem Hospital alone. My surgery will be 4/15 or 16th. Bitting my nails & praying all goes well!!! I'm putting my trust in God!!!!!!

Carmen, I heard that is a great hospital. Dont be afraid. Heard good doctors to. Nothing to be nervous about. This peaple here, thats what they do every day. Nothing else.. You will me find.. You' see

I had my surgery on 3/21 at Tijuana Bariatrics. All went well and I am at my last day at the hotel before going home tomorrow. Hope all went well for you. I wonder if you went to the same location and I saw you sitting outside from TX?

I'm glad to hear all went well with your surgery azinuit1. I'm booking my flights tomorrow, just waiting for my passport...I have just a couple of weeks. As far as you being hungry all the time, I heard that's normal. You have to fig. Your stomach has been empty...it wants something.....how much weight did you lose before surgery?

Just had my surgery done last Friday in TJ. Everything went ok. Good luck

I'm glad to hear all went well azinuit1. I assume you made it back home by now. When able, please share details with me, from before and after. Were you able to move around after surgery? How long were you out for surgery? How was the personnel their? Doctor? Lol..lots if queations....sorry.

Carmen, not sure where to begin. I used Dr Fernando Garcia. Two friends previously used him and so I felt comfortable based on reviews to use him as well. We made it to TJ and no problems. Our ride was on time, we got settle into the hotel the first night. I got a call with the time of when I needed to be at the clinic "hospital". They did blood work, EKG, xrays and made sure I was ready to go.4 doctors came in and talked to me. I went in had my surgery and woke up in my room. I walked around that same day, not as much as I should have. I was sick from the pain medicine, it was making me nauseated. I stayed two days then went back to the hotel for another two days. The doctor came to the hotel to check on me and I came home Tuesday. So Thu-Tue in TJ. All is ok so far, my tummy talks to me all the time. I have heartburn and I am not a big drinker, so drinking has been hard, but today I found popsicles to be amazing! Life saver!! Good luck if you have not yet completed the surgery, it isn't as bad as it seems, but honestly, TJ still sucks as a city, it is safe but still not like home. Oh and btw dreams are crazy after surgery. My dreams were wild. I slept ok, but nothing compares to your own bed. Let me know if I can help with any other questions ..... oh and the dr said it is ok to be sad up to 30 days after, this is natural. I look forward to eating like mash potatoes or soft foods.

Pepcid ac tablets one every 12 hours helped me. I have no gas or acid reflex.

I've started my liquid diet yesterday, getting ready ladies..azinuit1 & krishnamiller. There was a xtrina on this chat...she was preparing for surgery...should've had it by now. She hasn't been back here....has anyone heard from her? Hope she's ok!!!!

Have you tried Gas X strips...not tablets? Try it and let me know what works...I want to be prepared. Hope you feel better!!!
