Important pre op questions

I have my final appointment with my surgeon. I feel kind of in the dark about the process leading up to surgery on April 5th. Things like pre on testing...any suggestions on thins I should ask or might want to ask?

Can you be a little bit more specific, are you asking what questions you should ask your surgeon, or pre opt diet, or the procedure itself?

I've started the pre op diet (4 week liver diet). It would be involving the pre surgery testing, the procedure, things that maybe not be obvious. I'm nervous I will miss something.

Hi there! My surgeon's office has been a huge source of great information, specifically the dietician there. It wounds like you need lots of information to help ease some fears, so I would suggest giving them a call. There is an awful lot of great info on here, but I'm noticing that every doctor is different in requirements. My dr has me doing a two week high protein/low carb diet, I've seen others on nothing but liquids for 1 or 2 weeks, some have a month-long diet. Some can have caffeine, some not. Etc, etc... You need to be sure you are following what your doctor wants for his/her particular patients. I'm sure they wouldn't mind answering any of your questions. Best of luck to you!!
