Hi! I've been a long time lurker on the site and I'm just now getting up the nerve to post. I'm hoping/planning to get sleeved this summer. My insurance doesn't cover WLS (thank you, stupid employer), so I'll be self pay and I think I'll be having it done in Mexico. I haven't decided which doctor yet, but I'm excited. And nervous. And thrilled. And worried. And happy. And scared.

Welcome to the site. Who are you planning to do your surgery? If you haven't chosen yet, I would recommend Dr. Fernando Garcia with ready4achange.com. He did my surgery in August 2013 with no complications. He and his staff are awesome!

Your feelings are normal. I too alternated between scared and excited.

Hi! I have no idea if I'm responding right. Sorry if I'm not. I was afraid to post I didn't know waft to say. This process is all new for me. I'm sorry to hear they won't cover I just saw a post of Drs. In Mexico. I'm sure you can find a good one on here good luck!
